Welcome the New Year in the historical atmosphere of Kursalon, where the “waltz king” Strauss himself gave his first concerts. Enjoy the beginning of the year accompanied by lighthearted sounds of classical music and experience an unforgettable New Year’s concert in the heart of Vienna. 

The special New Year's Strauss & Mozart concert is held on 1st January starting  at 18:00 hours. 

One of the world's best waltz orchestras, the “Salonorchestra Old Vienna”, makes the experience of enjoying the most beautiful classical compositions even more unique. Extraordinary musicians and talented ballet soloists will bring you closer to the waltz cult and the Viennese charm with lively sounds, polkas, arias and duets as well as operetta and solo concert melodies. Programme

Begin your evening with four courses of authentic fare at the Restaurant “Johann” inside the stunning Kursalon Vienna. Here we serve the guests a delicious 4-course meal before the concert. The dinner includes a starter, a soup, the main dish and a dessert. Of course, you can choose from two seasonal menus or if you prefer you can opt for a vegan menu.

After dinner, make your way to your seat in Lanner Hall for a performance of classical masterpieces from Mozart and Strauss, accompanied by ballet dancers and opera singers. In this case dinner starts at 18:00 hours, and the concert at 20:30 hours. 

Enjoy the most beautiful classical masterpieces of the “Waltz King”, Johann Strauss, and the main representative of Viennese classical music, W. A. Mozart, and indulge in the wonderful feeling of joy that this unique music radiates!

Price includes the Imperial Vienna (4-course) dinner  and a ticket to the concert in your chosen category. Drinks are included during the gala dinner. 

* The VIP category includes a reserved VIP seat for you, 1 glass of prosecco during the break, a Johann Strauss CD, wardrobe as well as a programme booklet.

In addition to its magnificent historical roots, the building of the Kursalon also has an impressive modern flair as well as a breathtakingly beautiful terrace overlooking the green space of the Stadtpark.

Duration

The New Year’s concerts and dinner take place on the 1st of January  starting from either 17:00 or 18:00 hours. 

The first option is:

• - Dinner starts at 18:00 and the concert at 20:30 hours,

or the second option is:

• - Concert starts at 17:00 hours, and continues with dinner at 19.00 hours. 

Tickets

Once your booking has been confirmed, you will receive an e-mail containing your booking voucher. Please print it out or download it on your smartphone/tablet to show it at the evening box on the day of the concert.

In case you do not receive an e-mail in the minutes following the booking, please check your Spam folder! 

How to get there?

Vienna Kursalon, Johannesgasse 33, 1010 Vienna - is located close to the U4 subway station “Stadtpark”, the underground station U3 “Stubentor” or the tram 2 station “Weihburggasse”.The venue is only a few minutes walk from the previously mentioned stations.

Cancellations

For this event, it is possible to cancel your ticket up to the 9th of December.

From 15th of December there is a 50% cancellation fee
From 22nd of December there is a 100% cancellation fee
