Venues

Depending on the concert date, the Vienna Hofburg Orchestra performs at several beautiful venues: at the Ceremonial Hall or Festival Hall of the Vienna Hofburg (Imperial Palace), in the Mozart Hall of the Vienna Konzerthaus, in the Brahms Hall of the Musikverein or in the Herkules Hall of the Gartenpalais Liechtenstein.

The magnificent halls of Vienna‘s Imperial Palace provide a truly unforgettable ambience. The Hofburg's building complex was built during the course of 6 centuries, located right in the heart of Vienna's city centre. Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architectural styles were incorporated into the construction and contributed to its unique appearance. Finally, the Hofburg became the imperial residence and housed the Habsburgs until 1918. The Festival Hall (Festsaal) of the Hofburg is truly majestic with its impressive ceiling paintings. The Ceremonial Hall (Zeremoniensaal) is also impressive with its magnificent marble columns. It was once the venue for court concerts and grand gala evenings under Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth.
