There is hardly a better place to experience Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons", a parable on life and death, than in St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna. This is also where the funeral celebrations were held after the composer's death in 1741. Vivaldi came impoverished to Vienna in 1740, hoping to be able to enter the service of the Emperor. But unfortunately he died only ten months later and thus was buried in Vienna.

The St. Stephen's Cathedral is considered as one of Vienna’s most distinctive and significant landmarks. It is an absolute must-see sight for every trip to Vienna. The church with its unique atmosphere and history enchants visitors from all over the world each time anew.
